AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va (WHSV) — On this Medical Monday, Dr. Joe McGreevy from the Augusta Health Heart and Vascular Center talks about Afib, or atrial fibrillation.

Dr. McGreevy said Afib is the most common abnormal heart rhythm there is. Most of the time, people feel palpitations, like their heart is racing. Dr. McGreevy said some people can feel short of breath, some people can feel lightheaded, while others have a little bit of chest pain or a combination of symptoms. Some people don't feel it at all.

Augusta Health has a Heart Health Fair Thursday from 7-10 a.m. at the fitness center. You can find additional information about the Augusta Health Heart and Vascular Center at 540-245-7080 or at their website.
