Special to The Canton Repository

In partnership with The Canton Repository, every week the Stark Community Foundation is highlighting positive happenings in our community. Here's to a Good News Monday!
• Proceeds from Akron-Canton Airport's CAK 5K on the Runway event in October raised $10,000 for MAPS Air Museum in support of aviation history preservation and over 6,000 meals to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank to help individuals and families experiencing hunger.
• Community members are celebrating increased access to health care with the recent opening of Mercy Health Center of Plain, located in the Oakwood Square Plaza on Easton Street NE.
• We love to see our local youth giving back and being kind! After learning about Compassion Delivered, an area organization providing nutritional meals for residents in our community who are coping with chronic, life-threatening illnesses and diseases, students from Greentown Intermediate School decided to show their kindness to others. They collected over 150 health food items and decorated meal delivery bags to brighten up the days of Compassion Delivered's clients.
