The celebration of heart health aims to spread awareness of heart disease, which is the number one killer of women in the United States.
More than 300 women came together at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. At the event, advice about heart health came from a woman who not only has heart disease, but is also a stroke survivor.
"Certainly listen to your body, and also, I'm so fortunate for a second chance," said Cressida Dixon. "So anyone who can give back, definitely do so, because you'll never know who that's going to be, the next one."
The Go Red For Women movement was launched by the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.
